The Mets Are At It Again

andy phillips.jpg          Two weeks after embarrassing their franchise by firing former Mets manager Willie Randolph at 3 in the a.m. the Mets make another questionable move. The Mets just designated former Yankee backup 1st baseman Andy Phillips [remember him?] for assignment after, get this… 5 at bats on the team. Seriously, what was the point? Ya wanted him just to play against the Yanks or something? It’s probably because they just had to have what was once in pinstripes, before realizing they didn’t want it. The kid from Alabama has had some tough breaks, never being able to fully unpack his bags anywhere. Hope he wreaks havoc with the next team that picks him up.
