Thanks for the comment about the Statues on Parade Marathon, Vanessa! They are pretty cool, aren’t they. I kept thinking I knew which was my favorite, but after seeing all of them in one day, I am going with the Pirates at statue No. 41. I was also out of my mind at that point. Have fun blogging…no comment on this post.

    Hey, Vanessa !

I finally got around to checking out your blog … Excellent posts !!! … Keep up the great work ! … Nice bit of reporting, there … You gave us all the inside scoop on the All-Star teams … I was just going out to the store to get today’s Sunday New York Post, but I got the up-to-date sports news from your blog … Now I know, your “Flair For The Dramatic” blog is the place to go for “breaking sports news” … It’s great that Derek Jeter and A-Rod are on the starting team, and we know Mariano will be selected as the closer … But, I hope the American League starter is Mike Mussina – he really has earned a spot on the team, and since the game is at Yankee Stadium, he should be the starting pitcher … Maybe after his great performance against the Red Sox yesterday, AL Manager, Terry Francona, will have a change of heart, and go with Mussina as the starter … Also, it’s too bad Johnny Damon was injured on that great attempted catch in leftfield in Friday’s 6-4 Yankees loss … They say you always see something you have never seen before at each new baseball game, and the “ball” staying on top of the leftfield wall during the attempted catch by Damon, will be something that I don’t think we will ever see again, certaintly, not for a long time !!! … Anyway, Johnny Damon should also be selected on the AL ALL-Star Team !!! … Take care, Vanessa … Jimmy …

I’m really disappointed that Mussina didn’t even make the All-Star team this year. He deserved it.
The ball staying on the wall play was weird. That’s what’s great about the game of baseball, any day of the week history can be made, and things that have never been done before can occur.
I wish JD was on the All-Star team as well. He’s been leading the Yankee offense [when it decides to show up] this year.
    Thanks for the comment Jimmy.
